Le conférencier faisait du vélo comme adolescent chez son correspondant aux environs de Bergerac. Il ne savait pas qu’il allait commencer à s’intéresser au Tour de France comme prof à la retraite ! La passion du cyclisme n’est pas nécessaire pour trouver cette conférence intéressante ; on visitera la France en pleine couleur, on écoutera des chansons qui célèbrent le Tour, (on votera pour la meilleure), on entendra des anecdotes qui parlent de vainqueurs, de perdants, et même d’un coureur qui sentait le vin ! Conférence animée, ludique et variée.

This speaker used to cycle as a teenager when staying at his pen pal’s home near Bergerac. Little did he know then that he was going to start taking an interest in the Tour de France as a retired teacher! A passion for cycling is not required to find this talk interesting. We will visit France in all its colour, listening to songs that celebrate the Tour, (and voting for the best), hearing anecdotes that tell of winners, losers, and even a rider who smelled of wine! An animated, fun and varied presentation.
