Chez le proviseur du lycée de Deauville, puis dans la voiture d’un inconnu qui l’avait pris quand il faisait de l’auto-stop, ensuite devant la cantine d’un collège en Loire Atlantique, ou en conduisant sa voiture un samedi à Wolverhampton… Vincent a trouvé les chansons de Jean Ferrat à des moments importants de sa vie. Jean Ferrat chantait des textes poétiques et souvent engagés; on le connaît peut-être surtout pour ses versions chantées des poèmes de Louis Aragon, grâce à qui la poésie des troubadours est restée tout à fait vivante! At the home of the headmaster of Deauville High School, in a stranger’s car while hitch-hiking, outside a school canteen in Loire Atlantique or while driving in Wolverhampton on a Saturday… Vincent has discovered Jean Ferrat’s songs at important moments in his life. Jean Ferrat’s lyrics were poetic and often politically engaged; he is perhaps best known for his songs based on poems by Louis Aragon, thanks to whom the poetry of the Troubadours is still alive!
